3 servings: 227 mg. sodium per serving 1 Tablespoon healthy oil Prep. Instructions 1. Combine onion and garlic in a bowl. 2. Combine oregano, basil, pepper and salt in a separate bowl. 3. Have all other ingredients on hand. Cooking Instructions 1. Heat oil in a 9-inch skillet over medium low heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring often, until onions are tender, about 5 minutes. 2. Add oregano, basil, pepper and salt. Stir to combine. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. 3. Add lemon juice. Stir to combine. Add beans. Stir to combine. 4. Bring bean mixture to a soft boil. Turn heat down to low. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes, until beans have absorbed all of the lemon juice. Serve. |
