Grilled Fish Fillet

Grilled Fish Fillet

These fillets have a delicate taste and are delicious with or without an accompanying sauce. I first tried this recipe with black rockfish, purchased at my local food co-op, and can recommend it highly. Other fillets, such as cod, will work, as long as the fillet is no thicker than 1/2 inch at its thickest point.

2 servings: 147 mg. sodium per serving

2 (1/4 pound each) black rockfish fillets
2 Tablespoons healthy oil
1/2 teaspoon reduced sodium Tamari sauce

Prep. Instructions

1. Combine oil and Tamari sauce in a small, shallow dish where fillets can be laid flat. Add fillets. Turn once to coat with oil mixture.

2. Marinate fillets in refrigerator for 1 hour, turning once.

Cooking Instructions

1. Preheat grill to medium high heat (350 degrees).

2. Place fillets in a grill basket.

3. Cook fillets on grill, turning basket once, until fillets flakes easily with a fork, about 7 to 8 minutes per side. Serve.
