Baked Salmon

 

Baked Salmon


4 servings: 81 mg. sodium per serving

1 pound salmon fillets, 1 inch thick at thickest point
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped celery
2 Tablespoons chopped cilantro
1 large clove garlic, minced
2-1/2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper with garlic and onion *
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1-1/2 teaspoons unsalted butter

Prep. Instructions

1. Combine onion and next 6 ingredients in a bowl.

2. Have all other ingredients on hand.

Cooking Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

2. Grease a shallow casserole dish. Place salmon steak in the dish, skin side down.

3. Dot salmon steak with butter. Pour onion mixture evenly over top of salmon.

4. Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Turn oven down to 375 degrees F. Bake, uncovered, for 10 more minutes, or until salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve.
